Prof. Dieter Trau, Chairman of the Lab Safety System Committee, led the workshop as the Resource Person, providing insightful guidance on key components of our SET Lab Safety System Design. These components include Safety Officers at various levels, comprehensive Safety Manuals with Standard Operating Procedures, extensive Safety Training for all lab users, thorough Safety Assessments for procedures, chemicals, and equipment, Lab Safety Posts equipped with safety documents, tools, and first aid kits, and a Safety Intranet containing essential files, templates, and resources.
This fostered a deeper understanding of lab safety among all the participants. A heartfelt thank you to Dean Sangam Shrestha, Prof. Dieter Trau, and to all who attended and contributed. Certificates were awarded, and group photos were taken to commemorate the event.
