The SET staff members visited the Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam located in Ban Tha Dan, Tambon Hin Tang on May 24, 2024. A special thanks to Mr. Jessada Bunsuya, Director of the Project, for sharing valuable insights into the dam’s construction and history. Initiated by His Majesty King Bhumipol, the dam was built using the innovative roller compacted concrete (RCC) technique, incorporating lignite fly ash to enhance fluidity, workability, and strength while reducing material costs.
The staff members enjoyed exploring the area and learning about this impressive feat of engineering. The sheer scale of the dam was awe-inspiring, and the views from the top was breathtaking. The visit was not only educational but also thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you to the Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam team for hosting this insightful visit!
